While I serve my clients as an independent doula, I believe deeply in community-based care.
Care in Community means I’ve intentionally built relationships with trusted birth professionals who share similar values, training, and commitment to compassionate support. In the rare event that I am unavailable due to illness, emergency, or simultaneous labor, your care remains consistent and intentional.
If the Unexpected Happens:
You will be notified promptly, a trusted support person will step in, and your care will continue seamlessly. Your birth preferences, communication, and emotional support are always honored as a first priority.
Birth is unpredictable, but your support should never be.

Melyssa Miller, IBCLC is the founder of Nurtured to Bloom Lactation Care, offering refined, heart-centered lactation support for mothers during pregnancy and throughout their breastfeeding journey. Her work centers the mother, honoring both the physical and emotional layers of feeding with calm, intuitive, evidence-based care.
Through private in-home and virtual lactation consultations, Melyssa supports families throughout York County, SC and the greater Charlotte, NC area. Nurtured to Bloom Lactation Care accepts many insurance plans and is proud to collaborate with Beyond the Womb Doula to provide beautifully aligned, wraparound care for mothers and their babies.
